Re: Alternator Interchangeability

Hi Crispy I took advantage of the Easter Repco sale today and invested in a multimeter. At rest it was reading 12.4V but sure enough when the car was running I got about 14.6-14.8 Volts and with the fan on full blast and headlights on it came down to 13V and the amp didn't go into protection mode at...

Alternator Interchangeability

Hi again guys, i finally got my sound system set up and it bought up a slight problem. I think im getting over voltage as my amp goes into protection mode intermittently. I assume the regulator is on its way out? Is this a simple fix or does the whole alternator need to be replaced? If so, will a re...

Re: Radio Wiring

Hi there, cool thanks for your advice!

So the harness on the car has these wires:
Red-
Yellow- Which one of these wires connects up to the yellow Battery + wire on my radio?
Black- Ground to ground?
Blue/White- Im guessing the red ACC wire from my radio connects with this?

Cheers

Radio Wiring

Hi guys

My Turbo II still has the original radio harness left behind and I have a head unit I want to put in. Does anyone know what wires from the harness correspond to what they are associated with? I.e 12v, acc, earth etc?

Or does someone perhaps have a diagram?

Happy Easter to all

Re: PGM-FI Light is on

Oh sweet, thanks for your reply! So is there a chart or page that has the ECU codes I can crosscheck to see what the code means? Cheers.

PGM-FI Light is on

Hi guys, I have a 1984 Turbo II. Noticed that the PGM-FI light is on the dashboard. How can I diagnose this problem/what is this problem? I thought also I smelt petrol too. Is this problem related to something that is making the ECU running the car rich to protect it from something? Cheers in advance.

haha sweet, so the cats on these just bolt on and off? No need to use an angle grinder or anything like that?

Cheers!
