Re: AutoSpeed article on Honda City's!
The summary of the article looks like an "Advertorial" for JDM. I suspect either they do enough advertising with Autospeed to get it for free, or just provide stories (ever tried to write enough stories to fill a magazine!) Good story, and seems to suggest that JDM will get you a T2 any ti...

I assume you are suggesting:
6PM Sydney, Melbourne & Brisbanne
5:30PM Adelaide & Darwin (anyone up there?)
4:00PM Perth
Good idea. I'll tryto get on line then.

Re: Cvcc and fuel pressure
Doggystyle, the computer doesn't manage fuel pressure in the CityTurbo engine set up. There is a continuous high pressure fuel supply that goes pump / fuel line / filter / main injector fuel rail / CVCC injector fuel head / pressure relief valve (which has a manifold vacuum / boost input) and then ...

RHB510 Turbo for sale
We have a turbo labelled VG2, RHB510 surplus to our needs. It used to be on Charle's green Civic / City prior to his pulling it down for rebuild. In the re-build (now that CT and I own it) we put in a Garrett GT17 that Charles had sourced, so the RHB is surplus. It seems to spin OK, although not as ...

Re: Project for sale SA rego "CIVIC"
CT & I have a OEM turbo that would go with David's engine for anyone that is interested. Price negotiable, its a bit sticky in rotation - probably some polymerised oil in the bearings - and has a reluctant waste gate. In short, needs a re-build, but that shouldn't be too hard. Can even have it d...

Re: Cvcc and fuel pressure
As an old physicist .. seems to me that the key reason you need more pressure on all injectors (which is what I would think) is that the air pressure inside the throttle body will be high under open throttle high boost. Fuel flow through the injector is a function of the pressure drop across the inj...

Re: Engine Diagrams, Auto manuals, cvcc descriptio
If you really want full detail, you can gather it from a few sources: 1)The CVCC basics are shown in the Honda Civic CVCC 1980 aftermarket manual put out by Haynes. (You can also see a certain amount in the diagrams at that great Japanese web site) While the Civic manual is a Civic not City, Honda j...

Re: whats this hose?
Crooky, from our experience with vacuum plumbing and such, I would recommend keeping that hose. Check the size of the fitting that goes into the top of the rocker cover, and get a fuel line that has an internal diameter to fit - probably around quarter inch, from memory. It pulls quite a bit of air ...

Re: RRRRRoll call
We (CT & I ) are in Adelaide, and have a 1976 Civic with City Turbo engine Balanced crank, flowed head, all recently re-built. Garret GT17 turbo (such as on a recent Saab) running into a custom dump pipe. Intercooler mounted in left side of front, heavy duty radiator in right. Wide mag wheels Up...

Re: Rear engine mount, City - Civic
On Civic - City conversion the engine steady bar is a hybrid, with firewall end standard, and shortened. At the engine end, it is joined to a pair of Y or wishbone shaped pieces, that mount on two areas of the gearbox / block area. I'll try to post a picture in the next few days showing it in our c...

Re: Diagnostic help - engine hunts
Thanks PGNUTA, but I found the issue - the misaligned throttle plate. We have a nice distributor with intact diaphrams, which was why I was very puzzled at the subtle air leak.

Sorry, didn't see your post before. The dump pipe was from the original exhaust manifold / turbo combo that Charles had - not sure if a I or II.
You've managed to fix?

Re: Computer fault code of 3 & 2
Yo DR86 Would have thought that if the crank angle sensor wasn't working, the beast just wouldn't run. As I understand it, crank angle sensor is where the injector timing pulses come from, no crank angle sense signal, no firing of the fuel injector. So unlikely to be a crank angle sensor problem. Ma...
