It handles pretty well with the Konis, they are oil filled so the oil needs filling up occasionally. I think the car would handle much better with some new springs in it. It is currently has some cut civic 1200 springs in it, i tried out some lowered King Spring for a civic 1200 in it but they did n...

Re: APEXi turbo timer

The main reason i got it is that it also displays air fuel ratio, oxygen, volts and i only paid $120 for it which is much cheaper than going out and buying three separate gauges to display those three things plus a timer from jaycar.

I hope that answears your question!
Cheers

APEXi turbo timer

Hi everyone,                    Has anyone installed a apexi turbo timer on there car? You are ment to install a wiring loom to go with the timer specific to your car for were it joins to the ignition except they don't make one for a city turbo. Besides i think this is just so people can plug and pl...

Re: power figurs

I think the figures you refer to are at the flywheel while Charles was refering to the power output at the driven wheels.

Re: Big HAIRY Garrett T04

That is about where i have my GT17 turbo in my 1976 civic. You will probably have to feed the oil drain from the turbo directly into the sump as the original drain hole will be uphill from beneath the turbo in that position. Is the T04 a roller bearing turbo? Is it water and oil cooled? It sounds li...

Re: no go for the T1 please help

Hi Charles,                 Yep i am sure i set the cam timimg with the flywheel at 28 degrees, sorry i must have misunderstood you. I will change it the next chance i get but it seemed to run fine, it will interesting to see how it behaves once I change it. Michael and Rolley sorry to give you the ...

Re: no go for the T1 please help

Hi Rolly,            If there are no dots i think that there is another type of distributer that was also used. From memory there is a vertical line on the rotor cap which is where you want the rotor to line up with when the distributer is in place. If someone else could confirm this that would be g...

Re: no go for the T1 please help

Hi Again everyone, Rolly change step one so that the flywheel is lined up on the 28 degree mark. Step two make sure that the hole in the cam gear with extra bit cut out at the bottom is at the top (or you will be 180 degrees out).  Change step 4, there are two dots on the shaft of the ignition rotor...

Re: no go for the T1 please help

My flywheel has a 28 degree mark on it and that's how I have timed it and it runs like clockwork. Most Hondas are not CVCC and turbo! I am just going by what Charles from Raceraft told me, but it makes sense to me. This car is pretty individual being a CVCC and a turbo so its hard to compare it to o...

Re: no go for the T1 please help

I am 90% sure it is the 28 degree mark that you line it up with. It makes sense if you think about what has to happen by the time the piston hits TDC. As the the spark has to ignite the mix in the precamber and then puch the flame into the main piston chamber. Anyway that what i think. Cheers Chris ...

Re: no go for the T1 please help

Hi Rolly 1,               I think you have the timing mucked up, set it up like this. 1. Line the 28 degree mark on the flywheel up with the mark in the hole in the gearbox. 2. There is a line on the cam gear, line this up with the little arrow on the side of the head. Make sure that the gap in the ...

Re: Brake booster

Hi Sleepy,               I have a brake booster on my 76 civic which fitted straight in. I am not sure what it was off though. Charles who i purchased the car from may know what it was off. I think i recall seeing a booster on some 1 gen civics in the wreakers. It may have been on a 4 door 1500 or o...

Re: wheels

Hi Pro-T,             Most wreakers will sell you tires fairly cheaply. I would suggest letting your fingers do the walking and ringing some of your local wreakers and asking them if they have any that will suit at a reasonable price. I got some tires that looked almost brand new for $25 each from a...
