Re: City engine swap
The engines are exactly the same! These engines are mostly the same, with the following exceptions: Head Intake manifold Pistons Just make sure you sell the combax head to the highest bidder. It is a cvcc head and should prove to be of great interest to the turbo drivers on this site. Also, the p...

Source of infamous white city pic
http://b16a.honda-perf.org/japan.html I was browsing through this webpage, when 3/4 of the way down I noticed a pic that I've seen many times before on this site. I think everyone has seen it, but nobody seems to know where it came from. The guy that wrote this page actually took the picture whil...

Re: 1,500rpm normal idle?
It should be around 750 RPM. Just make sure that all of your vaccum hoses are attached, especially the one that goes into the diaphragm at the back of the carby. This controls your idle speed when the engine is cold (ie: the warmer the engine, the more vacuum, the less idle speed). Only adjust you...

Re: FS: City box and engine
Well, if you have the complete inlet manifold, including throttle valve and all sensors, then I might be interested in that as well. I can make most of the other bits I need.
How much for that plus the computer?

Hehe, I'm just glad I was the first person to ask about this (a few months ago now), and not this poor guy. I got in well before everyone lost their patience. If you want the multitude of good reasons why NOT to do this conversion, follow this link: http://www.cityturbo.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.cgi?bo...

Do you still have the computer? If so, how much do you want for it?
OH, and any other fuel system parts would also be of interest.

Re: Replica Bulldog racing aero kit
I know this thread is a little old now, but I am also interested in getting one of these kits. In fact, if I can't get the real thing i will be taking careful measurements and guesses from the photos and speaking to local fibreglassers (QLD). Failing that, I will even try doing it myself. I woul...

Alternative Guards - what's out there?
Hi everyone, I've noticed that there are a few people who frequent this forum that own Pro-Ts and are looking at modifying them. I happen to be one of them. One of the problems with the Pro-T is the narrow guards. I know that the front quarters can be swapped with the T2 ones, but the rear ones c...

Yep. They just don't get it, do they? ;D .If they want to buy a 30 year old car wrapped in plastic that's their choice I suppose. You should see how upset they get when you show them pictures of the Opels that their commodores are based on. Aussie icon my ass.

Re: T2 Cabs on tv over the last weekend
The funniest part about the cabs appearance in the ad was that it was showing how embarassing it would be to be picked up from work by your missus in her little girl car. If you watch carefully next time you'll notice that it is at a construction site and all of the other workers are having a good ...

Re: Replaced head gasket on proT
I agree guys, and I tried that first believe me. Problem is, whoever did the job last time used a shedload of gasket goo, and it was stuck like super glue. So yes, please only try the aforementioned method after trying your luck with a rubber mallot.

Replaced head gasket on proT
I replaced my head gasket on Sunday, and the car started first go! That's the biggest job I've ever done by myself and I got it right, I can't believe it. Timing is spot on, and with some new spark plugs it runs sweeter than ever. The head took a couple of swift hits with a hammer and screwdriver ...
