F/S in BNE - Turbo1 and Pro-T
Hi All, I'll be listing these on Gumtree and possibly elsewhere tomorrow when I can take some better photos but I thought I'd pop something up in here now that the forum's back online and to give y'all a heads up. Update: more pics Update: gumtree listing for the T1 is up here - no listing for the P...

Re: What to do....
Looks like it's only the raised surfaces of the badges that were coloured - which would explain why they've all rubbed off! I am sure there were some scanned press photos around on the net what might have enough detail, just can't find them currently. Best I can find is this one which (although B&am...

Re: What to do....
Yeah, was very glad to get them both on one trip. Gave the guy the bumper-to-bumper measurement first so we were fairly confident. Sounds like you scored a pretty good deal there on the Pro-T, looks like a very tidy unit! Best change I made on my T was to put 14" accord rims on it and change to...

Re: What to do....
Cheers - I ended up getting them transported to my new place and they'll be long-term projects, so no spare bits, sorry :-) City traffic: http://i.imgur.com/LYnP3te.jpg By the way City's odo only goes up to 99,999km so very hard to know actual mileage - never know how many times it's been right thro...

What to do....
I'm at a bit of a loss as to what path to take with my City's. I have a T1 (previously owned by crooky and AnimaLector) which was running ok maybe a year or two ago, but hasn't run for ages. Last time I tried to start it I burnt out the starter (like an idiot). It's missing the ignition cluster than...

Re: city turbo 2 not starting...
Well i have tried to figure out what the problem is with my car, when it is left to sit for a while it is like the power is being drained out. When i turn the key the lights will go on very dim and it will make no sound, it wont tick over or anything. Hi! Definitely sounds like a flat battery. When...

Reconditioning / kludging the autochoke
Howdy... After following the excellent tips on diagnosing fast idle / hunting issues in http://www.cityturbo.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=2876 , I have found that my main remaining issue is the autochoke. When I adjust the valve seat all the way in (until I run out of thread), air still gets by the bu...

Something unrelated, I wonder if the throttle position sensor is doing its job, sometimes they can get a bit bung without throwing an error. That would mean the ECU couldn't tell that you were trying to accelerate and would underfuel. Hmm.. that's an interesting suggestion. I've been having the sam...

Hmm looks like I have more work to do yet... she starts and for the most part runs ok, but again I have started getting brief (ie, under 0.5sec) periods, usually on lifting the throttle (such as on downhill runs or I think between gears as well) where the PGMFI light comes on and I lose engine power...

Interesting. I've had two dizzy's on that Pro-T, the one that was in there when I got it, and one from a wrecker (when, predictably enough, I had a failed ignitor module!). From memory both looked identical. I wonder if the Oz and the NZ models are slightly different? I think I remember someone tell...

I finally got a chance to get into it and take a look. Turns out the Pro-T ignitor module is significantly different to the one that's in my T1. Here's the ignitor module from my Pro-T, which has the electronics part external to the dizzy, and connects to the sensor assembly via several pins that go...

Ignitor module - same between Pro-T and T1?
Looks like I have a dud ignitor module in my T1. I have a Pro-T sitting under the house, is the ignitor module in it a straight swap for the T1 or are they significantly different given that the Pro-T doesn't even have an ECU? Externally the distributor's look rather different but much of what I hav...
