T2 / Cabriolet bumpers
Hey all, does anyone have front and rear bumpers for a T2 or Cabriolet? I have a possible buyer lined up for my unfinished "T3" but bumpers have been lost by a training institution doing some work on them years ago.

Shocks and springs
Hi all, After a looooooong absence, I'm back and getting work done on my beast T2. Currently looking at shocks and want to know if anyone has fitted anything radical to their Citys? My mechanic has proposed upside down Bilsteins inside a custom coil-over. Probably gonna cost about $1,000 per corner ...

Re: WTB: T2, Back Bodykit. Pic Inside
May sell mine in favour of a custom fabricated bit. Should be hooking up with a guy soon who's very good at fabricating fibreglass bits. He may be able to do some moulds for all you guys who want them. I'll see what I can do. That car at the top looks pretty good. Just thinking that was what mine lo...

Re: Castor Rod Bushes & Wheel Bearings?
Got Nolathane bushes for my T3. Not sure where they came from as Turbo Tech sourced them for me.
I don't think they could get them for everything, but most are replaced.
They also did rear whell bearing on list of fix up items. Again, can ask what and where if you like.

Re: Head gasket
Just did mine recently with the engine in. The head and mainfold is a cumbersome thing to lift off. Definately a two person job! :P Left the turbo on and unbolted the cat (meooooww!) :o. Worked out ok, but there's a tricky bolt to find at the back of it. Would recommend new studs or bolts, but no...

Re: Head Gasket
Dude, How's stuff there? Pump has done this for ages now. I'm sure it's not electrical as it starts up first time everytime when the motor is cold. Will always spring into life again after it's indiscretions, but is just a pain to wait 'til it does! >:( I just flick the ignition on and off untill I...

Re: Head Gasket
I guess I better keep an eye on things then. :-/ Just re-using the std setup which is 3 studs and all the rest are bolts. Does re-torquing help? Have another issue I would love some help on. Whenever the car is left for a about 3 - 5 mins after it's up to temp, it won't start for a while. The fuel ...

Head Gasket
Hi all, Just about to replace a head gasket and want to verify the NA City uses the same as T2. I know it's a whole lot cheaper! ;) Don't need a gasket set as we took the head off with manifolds etc still attached. Keen to get it back on the road though. Not sure why it blew as it's only been on ab...

Re: Ultimate City Turbo
Hiya, Sounds like you're in Chch then! Cool! ;D So is the clutch fitted? Any details on make model etc? Looked around for ages to sort one for mine but ended up with getting a kevlar plate bonded to original. I'm using Lancer GSR injectors (350cc) and don't think you'll be able to force enough fuel...

Re: Project: Boostboys ex City
Hey guys, if you're going to ditch the factory computer and CVCC, you'll be down the road I'm going. It would be nice to have some company too by the way ;D All these factors prompted me to use a machined City "E" non CVCC head, bigger throttle body, custom plenum, bigger injectors, bigger...

Re: wierd s#!t from 4th to 5th
Hey my T2 did some funny gearbox stuff a while back. Was hard to pull it from 5th to 4th one time then 4th to 5th felt weird. Started making some noises in 4th after that, and I thought the box was dying. Noises then got worse in every gear and I had to change it as the input bearing had gone comple...
