dont think a standard pro t carbie would work as the combax motor have a separate inlet runners for the precombustion cambers which run off a separate smaller carbie barrel best bet would a carbie off a cvcc-motor powered civic, prelude or accord as they would be a 3barrel carburettor

the belt is the same for the swift and city. dont have the part numbers but you can buy the tensioner separatly. the city does not have a timing belt kit. contact cbc bearing's they might be able to assemble a kit for you.

p.s where abouts are you as i'm a mechanic myself

boosted pro t

hi all i know that this has been discussed here numerous times but i have been thinking that a analogue turbo (boosted carb) setup is do-able on the er 8 valve non-cvcc motor for under the $2500 mark. Garret produce the gt1242 and the gt1544, both of which have a triangular flange mount which might ...

when torquing the head down u go from the inside out in a clock-ways direction. when removing the head it doesn't really matter but always is a good idea to go in the reverse order when removing the bolts. when the head goes back on you go in three steps with all bolts 22ft/lbs to seat the head then...

the dished piston would be good for high boost applications (25+ psi) or a longer stoke crank with the dish machined out

pistons

Hi all been looking through the web recently and found that hyundia atos G4HC engine is a 66mm bore and the pistons are a dished piston so they would be good for a boosted motor. the specs are a 25mm comp height and 17mm gudgeon pin dia. anyone have any idea if these would work?

yes valve stem seals can be linked to the oil burning but not the metal in the sump. the engine needs a full overhaul which with these cars are expensive and its custom pistons and ring unless anyone knows where to get pistons from.

if you're finding metal in the sump than there is a good chance that either a piston or bearing a flogged out. good way to find out if the bearings are rooted is to remove the oil sender and screw in an oil gauge. this is because condrod and main bearings require a small clearance for oil to coat th...

as mentioned in the link I posted an adjustable pulley will not only return the cam timing to standard but if you adjust the timing you can alter power band on a sohc ( advancing the cam you gain mid range power with a loss of top end and retarting the cam gives more top end with a loss of mid range...
