Re: lowering

Re: lowering
I want to do the same thing and cut is not a option. the only way to do it is get you orginal springs sent to a coil/spring maker and get them to make up some lowering springs. I have found that no one has a off the shelf spring. I have been quote $350 for the front pair to be custom made because th...

What am I missing?
I've got a red clip on the passengers side under the glove which looks like it should be holding something but what.
It's starting to annoy me, I'm just wanting to know what should be there?

Re: Rev Hunting solved
I've solved the warm rev hunting problem but is their a way to get rid of the cold hunting.
It only rev hunts when it is cold and at cold idle about 2100rpm, after 20-30 seconds of hunting it idles nicely can I solve this problem as well or is it another problem that is hard to find the answer to?

Re: Lowering Spings HELP
Just rung a local engineer and was told that the best way to do any thing with the springs was to get them cut and the ends retempered to the original shape. he didn't recommend getting them compressed as this would shorten the amount of travel in the suspension. For the amount of lowering ( abotu 1...

Re: Lowering Spings HELP
Never though of Brown & Cope 2002 Ltd as I thought that they only did rear leaf springs but it is worth a shot, thanks for that.
There going to be doing the rear leafs on the Datsun when I get a wee bit more funds so I'll chuck my springs there at the same time.

In reply to 'wkthyk' I have already fitted 14' mags with 195/55/14 tyres which are silghtly bigger than the standard 185/60/13 and it doesn't look any lower. It almost looks like it should be a 4wd with the stance it has. Yeah I know cutting springs is not the go but as long as the springs are still...
