Re: boosting problems

The spark short will only occur intermittently because of the resistance of the short is changing. Electricity follows the path of least resistance. At idle the resistance to arc across the spark plug is relatively low, so the lead won't short as often (Think about the size of the air gap from the l...

I have a Pioneer 800W 12" in a small box (was tuned but cut down) and it only just fits inside the boot of the honda, have to tip the rear seat forward to get it out... Tuning the box will make an impact, but really, with this size car any decent sub in a sealed box, with a decent amp running i...

Pressure regulator on the T1 is behind the Fuel filter towards the TB, look for a vacuum pod, with air line to the top and metal/rubber fuel line to the bottom. Spend some time reading the manuals, the fuel reg is covered in the T1 manual here: <http://www.cityturbo.com/manuals/24_60PD100/11/46.html...

If you can, it is always a good idea to get the radiator serviced. As little as 15% blockage in the rad can cause overheating issues, and noone wants a cooked head... You should be able to get a cleanout, which will set you back at around the $100 mark, the advantage of a cleanout is they can often ...

If you're not getting boost, then it is likely that there is something wrong with the turbo, either wastegate jammed open, seized or otherwise damaged. Check the wastegate actuator, and also put a second boost gauge on, in case it is your gauge that is faulty (the factory bar thing has a habit of cr...

If you take the lock to a lock smith, they will cut you a factory form key, the number is stamped on the ignition barrel and also the drivers door lock, take either of these to the locksmith, they only want proof that you own a lock that the key goes to, and then you will get an original form key fo...

Front brakes sticking can be a number of things, particularly with discs, they were likely only just touching, so it could be as simple as new fluid, and full bleed. The next step after that is calipers, but likely to be crapped out brake fluid with garbage in it blocking the return, as if they were...

The f10a rings can be fitted to ER pistons, after comp grooves are machined out to 1.5mm (from 1.2) This costs about $100 the rings themselves are around $80 a set. Doesn't appear to be viable to put suzuki pistons in an er, the deck height is different and they aren't flat top like the Honda engine...

How to Test & Adjust a C-T Autochoke - Can Cause Hunting

Recently rebuilt motor, and the idle hunting came back with the new motor... Have spent a fairly long time trying to adjust and check the choke actuator to fix it, and in the process, pure laziness found out some info on the way the system works, and an easier way to detect and rectify the problem. ...

I'm in Perth too, just rebuilding mine atm ;-)

Best people to talk to are Honda North, in Osb Park. (08) 9449 9000 They can get a lot of stuff for City Turbo, ex Melb, or ex Japan...

The bolts probably the same as N/A city, if so, they will likely be able to get them within a day or two (ex Melb.)

Yeah, am rebuilding T1 motor for now anyway... Also, with the pistons, I'm wondering if anyone knows what the "Compression Height" basically gudgeon to deck height of the Honda pistons, as the f10a first oversize suzuki pistons would nearly fit direct swap for the honda pistons. The gudgeo...
