Re: YO my city needs help!!!

Gentlemen Usually the problem of surging and such is caused by minor vacuum leaks - typically in those lines to the black box! If you haven't had the engine / throttle body apart to play with, this is the check out sequence for surging and all that. 1) Have a read of the posts in the info base (But ...

Re: How to get car to boost quicker

Jacko We're running a GT17 on our car, and it boosts well before 4,000. Couple of things to think about Is the boost gauge actually telling the truth? I know that if I've been out to 2,500 or so with an open throttle, the blow off valve will let go with a nice loud "whoosh" when I back of...

Re: Something I actually need this time

Bino If you seriously need part numbers, use the web site referred to on the "Links" button on the home page for Cityturbo.com. The one to pick is http://craft7.com/sa7/ and then you'll need to use BabelFish at AltaVista (link on the Links button off the home page again) to interpret. I fi...

Re: Need an alternator :S

HondaGirl If you want I'll get a photo of my alternator up to you. I have two, one with a slightly chewed belt pulley, the other without a pulley at all, just with the shaft end sticking out and with a thread on the shaft. You got a digital camera? If so, easy to put a picture up. The ones I have ar...

Re: Hello all, i've got some newbie questions

Rather  than building a City, your other option would be to drop a City Turbo engine into a Civic - discussed all over this site.

Re: Get Rid of Emmissions Tubing + Box?

Ben I think you can differentiate the essential and non essential in the magic box. In there you have MAP sensors * 2, absolutely essential to the running of the engine. Then there is an idle up relay, that again you do need. There is also an electrical gizmo, which adjusts mixture. After that, much...

Re: Need an alternator :S

HondaGirl We probably have one (or more!!) but wouldn't know definitely: (1) Which model (2) whether the spares we have definitely work. How much you thinking of paying? Just a re-build at autoelecs is typically $75 - $150 - and freight from anywhere to you will be $20, and you might not get what yo...

Re: Shot Cam-shaft

Steve Just about to go to Brisbane for a couple of days, when I'm back I'll have a look. Here is the bad news.  These beasts are rare, and I suspect I'd need around the $250 AUS area, plus freight (DHL shouldn't be more than $50 to $100, air) to make it worth while. Let me know your views. John

Re: Want to buy City-E head

Bino Not sure why you want to ditch the CVCC - have a little think about the advantages of a turbo'ed stratified charge engine (which is what the CVCC is.) There is a Mugen chip set around fo rthe CVCC computer, you might find that a bit more interesting than the Haltech running a non CVCC head. We ...

Re: City workshop Manual

There is now a post in the info base that re-states what has been said elsewhere in the general boards. I also have a doco kit that Charles used to sell for $100 a copy, and sold the rights to to my son CT when he bought the green beast. If you're that keen we'll do you a copy for the same - but mos...
