Didn't see any codes, may have, but I checked a few times and no lights, only thought of it when checked the Master relay, and found only 1 live wire into it.

Got it up and running at last....

Finally got my T1 running, put a second hand engine in, no knocks, but it is running rough, and once warmed up it hunts on idle by as much as 500rpm.... I have some overhauled injectors coming through, and we have already swapped the CAS etc in case there were faulty readings coming through.... Also...

Had a similar probklem on the weekend, and found another cause for fuel pump not running: Check the housing at the end of the head, near the distributor, I beleive the Crank Angle sensor is here, check the plug clipped to the top of the housing, my pump wouldn't run, and we moved that plug and it ca...

The only manuals we have available are in Japanese, and available here: http://www.cityturbo.com/manuals/

However, the pictures are quite a lot of help, and I have a friend who is learning Japanese at school, will get him to try to translate someday soon...

yeah, use a cordless, so it wont be too fast...

Also, try to use something very flexible to drive the speedo, so you don't shred the plastic gears etc....

From this page on in the manual is detail about the dash and speedo, there are some wiring diagrams, so at least you can see where to look anyway.... http://www.cityturbo.com/manuals/24_60PD100/23/11.html I would also suggest taking a look at the solder joints on the speed detector and the display a...

If anyone mentions the idea to you, take out a notepad and write down their name, ask them for phone numbers address etc.... That way anyone who thinks about it knows that you know who they are and have a list of suspects for the police.... This way, each person who says they will do it might actual...

Ah, good news then.... It appears I can get my hands on a T1 and a T2 engine.... all I will have to do to put the T2 engine in then is swap intake manifold and flywheel/clutch and bolt it to my gearbox... I don't know if the turbo is ok, is it the same turbo on T1 and 2? or, is it possible to put a ...

Is it possible to put a T1 head on a T2 block?

Is it possible to drop an entire T2 into a T1 ?? Probably need either a T2 bonnet or to use a diff intercooler, but otherwise anything else I need to do? (Probably put the T1 throttle on as I don't have a T2 control box)....

According to the manual, these graphs: http://www.cityturbo.com/manuals/24_60PD100/11/58.html Show boost starting somewhere at around 1000rpm, however, a turbo is dynamic, and as Mike said, the guage shows boost when the vacuum drops below 10"Hg, which will happen quite a lot in an engine (even...

Running oil supply for turbo isn't a problem, my dad works at a shop fitting turbo's to diesels etc, easy enough to rig it up from the pressure sender etc... Is it possible to weld the damage to the block?

It is two areas where the alloy has chipped from the sleeve, apparently it won't seal well, higher risk of failing head gasket.....
