Re: City turbo in Trading post

Hi Wayne I have a Cabriolet with a T1 engine, check it out in the members rides section.  Anyway I'm not sure on the pricing over there in Oz. Dropping the T1 engine in is not a hard job but there are a few things to watch out for (fuel tank, wiring loom, dash stuff, radiator).  This would give you ...

Re: Is this a good idea??

Hi Phillip Yeah, do it, or at least go and take a look, a head gasket ain't such a big job.  I'm guessing since it's got the intercooler it's a T2 and not a T1.  The other minor repairs, hmmm, probably got knocked back on a WOF for rust in the bottom of the doors.  Get it fast, 'cause I wouldn't exp...

Spring Differences

Hi Everyone

Does anyone know if there is any differences between the T2 and Cabriolet shocks/springs?

Cheers

Re: Whats wrong with my Pro-T?

Hey Lector I had a look tonight, changing gear at 5500rpm, 2 to 3 = 80km/h, 3 to 4 = 116km/h, 4 to 5 = wet and dark so will have to wait.  Although thinking about, all these mods are only going to get it to those speeds quicker, without changes to the gearing the actual speeds are going to stay the ...

Hey Pete

Hi Kenny

Yeah, it's a standard problem on Citys.  I've replaced a couple on Citys I've had.

Re: Towing

Hi Pete I tow my 13' fibreglass race boat with my cabriolet all the time it seems to handle it fine.  I phoned the local honda guys since it seems that my towbar is a proper honda one for a recommended max towing weight but they had no idea although figured it would be on par with the max weight for...

Re: dash light

Hi Nick

Sounds like the light for the catalytic convertor, depending on where you are the best thing to do is rip out the cat convertor and throw it away.

Re: Honda City: Semi auto transmission

Hi AlexZ Yep, had one of those and yes it is a semi-auto, you have to drop it into low then manually shift up the gears without a clutch, same going back down again.  If you slap it into drive and then try and take off you are essentially throwing it into 3rd and trying to take off like that, doesn'...

Re: Original wheels

Hiya Dog

I'm running 195/50 15's.  You could possibly go a little wider if you went to 16's or 17's with an even lower profile but you wouldn't get much more.  The sizes I've gone with give the same as standard rolling radius so gearing/revs remains as standard.
