Your lowering limit on a T2 is the wheel hitting the inside of the flared guards.

And, unfortunately that happens well before the car would be considered 'low'.

Yup, hes pretty much covered everything :) For it to fire it has to have spark and has to have fuel. One more thing if you get really stuck, pull the rocker cover off and have a look at the cam. Its possible the CVCC lobe could be worn to the point of not actually opening the valve any more. On that...

How does it drive with that turbo on? How much boost are you running, when does it start to make boost and when do you see full boost?

We dont see a huge number of cars running non-standard turbos so its always good to hear feedback on what works and what doesnt :D

Attempt to go for a drive, the fault codes will probably re appear once the ecu tries to check the relevant sensors and realises something is wrong.

A fuel injection conversion of a carby engine would be a pretty big mission. Running a City Turbo motor with aftermarket management is also a big mission, im not sure if anyone has really got it working properly before, though a few have had some success. Have a read through this site, pretty much a...

I would vote Turbo front cut, or EL/EK engine if you want to keep it carby.

Remember to use a City Turbo motor you have to convert to fuel injection. There is info on this site about the NA->Turbo conversion.

I see you have some prior experience 8) Crank swapping with the ER isnt really an option because they run a massively long stroke anyway. Stroking it further wont help you. If you could do anything it would be bore the cylinders and run oversize pistons, but the wall thickness isnt huge on an ER blo...

It cant be illegal to change engines in a car. Engines break, they get replaced. Its what happens.

You just need to call up your local authority and work out the details of what they want when you bring them the car to be checked over.

An engine needs 2 things to run. Fuel, spark, and them arriving at the right time. Work out which one you are missing and then go from there. If the plugs are sparking nicely and the timing belt isnt broken then it looks like fuel is the culprit. Are the injectors firing? Rest a long screwdriver on ...

Oh dear. Changing the crank shaft WILL increase the engine capacity. It will also change your compression ratio and put your pistons into the head if you dont change the rods and or pistons as well. Swapping heads is not an option. Give up on the idea already. Swapping engine internals is also not a...
