Yes, it appears I am back  Didnt quite get the rust repairs finished this weekend. Drivers side is all back together but needs the visible welds ground down, and possibly a bit of extra steel in a few thin spots. Passenger side is still waiting for the outer skin of the pillar to go back on...

I dont have a dizzy with me right now, but from memory if you take the vac advance out the bits inside the dizzy can just spin around however they feel like.

Leaving your level of iginition advance or retard to random chance may not be such a good idea for long term engine survival

Vacuum advance reconditioning group-buy

I have contacted a New Zealand company regarding vacuum advance rebuilds. According to the forums they may actually have done one for me a few years back though i dont really remember  Anyway, I have asked about the possibility of a group-buy arrangement, for this to work we would probably nee...

Hah, nah its not that bad. Just the usual corner of windscreen/top of firewall seam area.

Probably have to cut most of the pillar out to get at it though :?

The breaking news is that the front end of my new city was held together by hopes, dreams and bog. Now its just held together by hopes and dreams. The plus to this is it means bigelboe has the car for a few weeks to play about with the suspension. The bad news is that it will be a few weeks before i...

Just spent a small fortune on tooling, but i think Bigelboe now has everything he needs to make some struts up over the next week or so.

Haven't got anywhere near as far with the body work as i was hoping to, but theres no real hurry for that.

All in all things are looking pretty good :D

You have to be careful using a split dump like that on a City turbo. I was running something similar a while back and it caused me chronic overboost problems because the split line interfered with the wategate flapper.

In the end i ditched the whole thing and went to a bigger single downpipe.

Top effort Bigelboe 8) Its good to see my place as 'forum whore' has been filled by someone who actually manages to add some generally useful content instead of just pages and pages of speculation bordering on outright rubbish  Some of those old threads are hilarious! I dont even want to look a...
