Re: Water Pump specs...

Just a quick hesitation, before you go off ordering things from all around the world.  Let's check the pulley diameters. If someone can do it quickly, I could but it'd be a day or two before I get the info back here. What is the correct crank pulley and pump pulley diameters?  And is the belt correc...

Get together.

Hi, Is there any interest among forum readers and contributers in getting together with others in their areas? The Brisbane (Queensland) Honda club is looking at co-ordinating a mass Honda gathering through the HondaOne group sometime this year.  I'd like to see each Australian Honda Club co-ordinat...

Re: Need help -Rear strut replacement!

Hi, I replaced one with a genuine Honda spare part and and can't answer your specific question, but I also thought it might help if we actually gave this thread a relevant title. It is a fairly generic type of part but as the build date was almost 20 years ago, don't be surprised if the're no altern...

Re: Temp Gauge not working?

The sender nipple is well hidden, untill you know where to look.  Look straight down behind the crank position sensor.  Also check the section of wiring loom that goes along this end of the engine carrying the alterrnator wires and oil pressure sensor connection. If it's not hooked up, there should ...

Re: Project: Boostboys ex City

That seems about $2000 too much to pay for no certainty of improved power and driveability.  Maybe some of the tinkerers have got better but up until about 3 years ago, NO aftermarket ECU gave unequivical improvements to the original units from Honda. None of them gave improvements across the rev ra...

Re: Let this be a warning to Ye....

Okay.  I love Chinese puzzles and have spent many an hour with large jigsaw puzzles.  Many is the electronic kit from DickSmith and Jaycar that's come off my table, working, and even scratch built a few amplifiers and electronic gizmos, but there's a point where it's time to retreat.. Good luck.  It...

Re: Honda Flag

You did well to get the flag.  Our club had one a few years ago, but no-one admits to knowing where it is now! Every few years Honda releases a few engines at half usual retail to free up some room.  If you're lucky you can get a new top or bottom at good prices.  Usually when a model run gets to ab...

Re: i need info

This shouldn't be a problem with such a short crankshaft, but, that pully is part of the balancing of the crankshaft, partly a flywheel effect at the opposite end to the real flywheel.  And smooths the engine as a harmonic balancer. When the engineers decided to make one that heavy, there may be cra...

Re: I hav a problem

As I understand it, if your wastegate is adjusted properly, you can't feel it working. It should only be a progressive bleeding off of the excessive (over 11 psi (or whatever) boost pressure. If you feel it cut in with a dramatic drop in power, it's not working as it should. If it is seized, it'll e...

Re: i need info

Yep, point taken.  Rip it out.  If it doesn't work, you won't miss the cooled drinks holder on the dash. But you will get better economy and more consistent acceleration than us with air.  Maybe better engine cooling without that great condensor in front of the radiator.  Possibly save as much as 15...

Re: i need info

Hello, As the man says, check the pulleys.  probably no need to change the belt for the alternator and water pump. Meanwhile, why are you removing the aircon?  Obviously you don't live in a warm climate. Here in Brisbane I use the aircon virtually every day of the year.  Comes with having a dark blu...

We were at Taringa and heard no F111.  Heard the thunder of the fireworks but we had other things in hand.

Happy New Year.

Hi, I know that it's off the original topic, but with the wildlife whistlers.  I've got a pair, my friend in the club has them on her Civic and in a few trips to National Meets (from Brisbane) down the Newell and other western Qld trips, never had any close calls with roos' since we fitted them. reg...

Re: Fog lights and front grill

Uh, oh, I'm thinking Dodgy Brothers Auto Electricians here, so I reached for the wiring diagram.  Nope.  Doesn't show the interconnect for the instrument light. At least one of the T2s in the club here had the same set up as mine.  And one didn't do anything, and another did the fog/driving lights o...

Hey Men, and boys,

Just remember, men with little dicks drive big cars.  WE don't need to prove anything.

Next time the Commodore brigade heckle you, just think of that.

Christmas the season for goodwill to all men.  Well, mostly.

regards,
Campbell
