Re: FS: T2 Trademe Dunedin.
All of those cars change gears in under half a second, probably more like under 100th of a second. There would be hardly any chance for compressor surge. Compressor surge is a different thing all together. Not having one on a road car will damage your turbo significantly quicker over time than ha...

Re: FS: T2 Trademe Dunedin.
The only real reasons manufacturers run BOVs is for NVH issues. Without it, the compressor flutter sound is very hard to shut up, even with the standard airbox etc. With the bov, the air released is recirculated within the inlet tract and due to lower than atmospheric pressure within the inlet, t...

Re: FS: T2 Trademe Dunedin.
Ok... You are at full load, full boost, max turbo speed and you change gears and the throttle staps shut. On a car equipped with a BOV, the inlet piping from the throttle back to the turbo will be evacuated of pressurised air leaving it all at ambient pressure. When you open the throttle again you...

Re: WTB T1 Lifters
Ahh... Lifters are a different thing altogether - something that the T1 doesn't have. Sorry, should have been more helpful!
I might have a set or two at home ready to go to the dump if you want them. I'll have to check - they might have gone already.

Re: FS: T2 Trademe Dunedin.
My theory is that a BOV is detrimental to turbo response anyway. You're better of without one.
