ah, no cvcc means no 28deg advance and no massive boost, hrmmmm Still, worth a look at, will try to call some wreckers this week, see if anyone has a motor lying around... Also need to work out what fuel rate the 1.2 injectors flow, and try to work out the math to get larger injectors, then, hopeful...

I'm doing a quick rebuild on my T1 motor at the moment, however, in the shed I have nearly two entire T1 motors and a T2 minus turbo. I will take a look around to see if I can find any EL cvcc motors and maybe look at getting the cheapest I can find to do some measurements. Can't promise anything ye...

T1 Standard boost is 11-12psi.

Porting the wastegate will drop the boost level. To correct this, you must install a boost controller.

If the power to the fan is ok, then it means the fan itself has fused, not worth fixing... Any fan that will bolt on will be fine, however, if your working on it, you should look into the thermo switch, it is probably identical to a civic switch, it is worth replacing the thermo switch as it will ma...

Take a look in the infobase, there is tons of info on how to modify the car...

I wouldn't bother lowering it much, it looks nice, but the handling is already great, better off spending thee dough on turbo dump pipe + mods, exhaust, boost controller, all the things that make them really fly ;-)

You should block the vacuum line running to the servo on the filter box pipe (half way out from the disc) as that will open when the car is cold and suck non filtered air from over the exhaust manifold.

(This is done to get warmer air into the engine when it is cold)

My engine is getting tired (burns a lot of oil ;-) and my dad is pushing towards getting a 1400 block and putting the city gear on it.

What sort of work is involved if I use the city head and just put the 1400 short motor under it?

A Near perfect sleeve for the mounting bush can be made from a 40mm poly pipe joiner. Take the joiner (80c at bunnings) and cust a strip roughly 1cm wide from the cylinder, cut it ti the right length, then put it around the bush. We had to use a couple of hose clamps to squeeze it down a tad to get ...

Well today i managed to get some oversteer. Conditions: Tyres at 1.8 pressure, which is way to high for the suspension, but good for fuel saving on the way to work. Me being a complete idiot and going way to hot into a corner. Me then doing he worst thing possible and actually braked hard while try...

The shaking you talk about when the choke is kept on is caused by the engine getting up towards running temp.

As it does, the misture gets too rich and it chugs. To reduce this, push the choke in in small steps as you begin driving, this is why auto chokes took off so well ;-)

The overheating when idling is specifically because your fan is not running. When a car is moving along, the normal air flow through the radiator is more than the fan can push, it should only switch on when you are stationary or moving very slowly (unless the car is overheating) To sort this out, yo...
