Interesting Head Bolt Markings
Hey Guys, Anybody ever seen this before on their head bolts? on either a City or another vehicle? I'd taken out the bolt because it wasn't torquing up correctly and this is what i have noticed, where the 2 threads meet it seems to have been rubbing on extra thread? I assume this is the factory stand...

Re: Body Code
Being a Pro T i assume it is an Aus delivered 2-seater. In which case it definitely is a panel van (apparently honda did it back in the day to get around some passenger vehicle regulations, probably to do with carry capacity or something, so they sold them as good carrying vehicles), even my turbo i...

Re: Vaccume advance unit
If you search on this site you can find the details of a place that others have used that refurbish them (~$100 from memory). I'm just about to start the hunt for another one myself and i'm either going to attempt a refurbish myself (that will be fun) or i've heard there are certain other engines wi...

Hey guys,
Just chasing a replacement alloy rim for my T1 as is turns out one of mine is bent or warped or something and it's giving me high speed shakes
as far as i know, i should only need one, and it doesn't need to be sprayed black
It's a 5x13 +40 rim

Re: tie rod ends
Best bet (without get each one side by side) would be to contact Honda and see if you can find out if they have the same part number.
You can't guarantee that they are different if you get different part numbers, but you can guarantee they are the same if they share the same part number.

Outer CV boot replacement
Hi Guys, Getting my T1 over the pits and they picked up on a small tear in the outer CV boot on the drivers side. I'll probably have a go at repairing it where it is, but may need to replace the whole boot. Now, the question is, can the outer joint be removed from the shaft while leaving the inner C...

Re: Alternator Interchangeability
Heh, a multimeter is a very valuable tool to have, definitely worth the purchase. I think 14.4 is nominal, but it can vary depending on situation, if the battery is a bit low it can bump up the voltage to help charge. The lights and fan all add load to the system, dropping the voltage. Another thing...

Re: Alternator Interchangeability
Do you have a multimeter? check the voltage on the battery while the car is running, it should sit a bit above 14V. If it is well above or below this number or fluctuating around a lot then your regulator isn't working properly. Technically pretty much any alternator will do the same job, though som...

Re: Radio Wiring
The best way to make sure 100% is to have a test light (basically find an old stop light globe or indicator globe or something) and hook it up from known ground (the chassis somewhere) to the wire you want to test. Then just see when it comes on (test with key out/ off, key to Acc, key to Ign and Il...

Re: Radio Wiring
There are some wiring diagrams in the infobase, though you have to work a few things out between the T1 and T2 to understand what is going on. From what i can tell, Yellow/Red is Direct to battery (+12V) White/Blue is your Accessories and Red/Black is Illumination (For T2 only it seems) Then there s...

Re: PGM-FI Light is on
There should be a set of LEDs on the ECU (it sits under the drivers seat) which are labelled 1-2-4-8 Add the numbers of the LEDs and then that is your error code (for example, if 1 and 8 are lit, you have a code 9) That error code will tell you what the ECU thinks is wrong and will point you in the ...
