Re: To 'Turbo' a stock City - How hard?
Bigelboe, just remember it hit something but yeah, think it might have been the turbo. Colza, I think your right, I don't recall one of my old n/a regular (roofed) Citys have aircon but the cabriolet does. I think the main reason for the difference in the heater box is the length of the pipe through...

Re: To 'Turbo' a stock City - How hard?
Bigelboe changing the dash (instrument cluster) just makes things a lot easier, the heater box has a different length pipe sticking thru the firewall and you need the turbo heater box with the shorter pipe to get it all to bolt back together. The n/a doesn't have a fuel pump and the radiators are d...

Re: To 'Turbo' a stock City - How hard?
Hey Shitbox Been there, done that. I dropped a Turbo I motor into a Cabriolet, but if it's a standard City you might as well just buy a Turbo as you'll need most of one to do the swap anyway. The wiring looms are different, you'll need the the turbo fuel tank, lines and pump, heater box, engine, c...

Re: ENGINE CONVERSENIONS
Hmmm, interesting conversation. I'm going with EN1_Turbo and his knowledge on this one tho. I have checked out his Civic conversion, and it's just outright nasty ;D. Anyone foolish enough to line up against that thing of his is for an arse kickin'
Have a happy day all! ;)

Re: Boost or fuel cut @ 5500rpm on 10psi
Are you sure it's a cut of some kind? Mine will run to 5500 happily running 10lb boost, I've pushed it to 6000 but that last 500 just isn't worth it, there's more noise but not a lot of speed gains to be had. I'm sure I saw a graph somewhere that max power is at 5500 you might need to look at othe...

Re: air conditioner
And the other thing is in NZ, given it's age Citys will probably be using R12 hole in ozone, nasty sunburn gas and while you can still get them refilled most places push for getting the system modified to run R134a gas so just another unneccesary expense...

Re: My Honda City
$8999 for a TII Cab, hell yes, I'll accept that offer, might have to ship my car to Oz!!! Charles, I'd have to say you have guru status on most things City but I'm sure I've heard vague rumours about the production of factory turbo cabs, wasn't that the same one that had the speakers in the headrest...

Re: air conditioner
Went but wasn't really neccessary, besides it weighs to much and sucks power, so it went, straight in the rubbish. If I get hot I'll just put the roof down....
Oh yeah and the hole where the compressor was makes a perfect place for a decent air intake

Re: COP wont pay up for CITY Damage........
I don't see that you'll get anywhere going to the cops, unless she really isn't a cop. If she wasn't working then they are just going to point you in the direction of the Disputes Tribunal, which you would have a far greater chance of winning as the "judge" will not look favourably on a c...

Re: COP wont pay up for CITY Damage........
Hey T2 Disputes Tribunal dude, it doesn't cost much, just keep it together and have all your evidence sorted. The Disputes Tribunal doesn't work in the same way with regard to the law as standard courts, it's all about fairness, so her noise about yellow lines etc is just her trying to bluff you in...
