Re: Replacing Cam
I'll get them resurfaced. I won't need to do ignition timing right? I just need to align the pulley when I put the belt back on?

Replacing Cam
I'm thinking about replacing the cam in my T1. Is this fairly dooable for a mechanical noob? I've seen the walkthrough in another thread and I think I understand it (which is a start). Will I just need the VRS gasket kit ($113 from autobarn - cheap?), or a full set ($318 from autobarn???), or shou...

Re: T2 racing movie
Fader, you still going to Willowbank tonight?
I might head over myself and see what my little T1 can do. It'll be my first time though, so don't expect too much!

Re: Installed Cooler and BOV
heh... /me looks ashamed..... The most immediate problem was that the BOV vacuum feed had split. Ran a lot nicer when fixed :) Pretty sure the scale of the gauge is hundred kpa's ( 100 kpa kpa is 14ish psi is about 1 atmosphere right?) for both boost and vacuum. Vacuum was running at -20 kpa but ...

Re: Installed Cooler and BOV
It hunts when warm, probably 600-1200 rpms, 1 second going up, and another going down.
I've definately lost a few pounds vacuum since I've had the work done (only noticed today.. doh!) I'll have a feel around and see if I can find the leak.

Re: Installed Cooler and BOV
hmm i seem to have brought a few of my 'associates' into the forum..... retard boy doesn't own a car, but he does have a high speed internet connection, so i guess he has more time to sit in front of his computer and 'surf'. hondacityeta used to own a WRX, but he sold it. I don't think he'll be ett...

Installed Cooler and BOV
I've had the intercooler and BOV installed on ol' black betty :) Decided to put the cooler in the wheel arch (no need to cut up the bumper... yet?). I've also got a new air filter installed and had it repositioned. Two inch stainless piping throughout. Custom plenum. Had to get a softer spring f...

Re: Sold my Black City Turbo I
That's me. Thanks heaps Andy, she's running great. I've upgraded from a city turbo pro t (same year - 83), but the new car is a hell of a lot more fun :) I've got my eye out for an Idle Control Valve (the same one that Andy mentioned in the For Sale/Wanted board). If anybody's got any suggestion...
