Check around the rear lights for any gaps/leaks/rust.
I know I had a leak from around one of my backing lights.

The lights for my speedo didn't work when I got my car. The above information about crumbly plastic and shorting also applied to mine, so I think I've just run a wire from the back of one of the speedo lights to elsewhere on the back of the cluster. Yeah I did mine, also ran a line so the boot's hooked up to the central locking. I'm assuming that the $170 just covers labour and you'll have to supply the alarm and central locking system. OK I've got some screenshots from the movie. Just of the scene in the hotel, you don't get a very good look at them earlier.
