Or, since I was planning on POR15ing the whole car, I could mask off the bits that need fixing, paint everything else with the POR15, fix the bad bits and paint them after. That might be a good way of dealing with the prolonged metal exposure problem.

The other option I though of is going for an EL motor and ditching CVCC. Then it bolts in, is a nice period upgrade and you can run a nice simple manifold and stuff. How nicely does it bolt in? Same mounts nicely? I was planning on doing a full rebuild on whatever engine I end up using, and if it's...

Time for a rebuild!

Alright I've finally got round to getting my hands dirty, and have had a very productive weekend stripping my car out. The only things left in there now are parts of the steering, brake, and fuel systems, and they can all come out this coming weekend. http://lh5.ggpht.com/__cuGPzcVKZ4/SX2BZKz3RBI/AA...

Yeah I think that's the part I'm most excited about, it used to suck welding at school because by the time you'd flicked your helmet down your hands had ...

I know Bigelboe used an electric drill to strip at least some of his paint, I was thinking of using air tools for most of my ...

i was going to pull them apart so i can get paint right in around the mirror glass but from a quick inspection it looks to be a nightmare so i think ile just mask off the glass and the black rubber bit and see how i go. On mine there's a small hole on the underside of the mirror, if you poke a scre...

Im currently trying to think of all the different stiffening things I can do while I have it in bare metal, I recon I could almost build a roll cage inside my roof channel and A and C pillars I had thought of doing something along these lines, there's quite a lot of space and I reckon you could ste...
