Re: Highly Detailed T2 body 3D computer model
It is a DWG file that runs fine on Autocad 2004 and 3D Studio Max, which can be render easily. The only problem is, when I get the base drawing, all the components are exploded, so all the headlights, bonnets, glasses, etc are stick together in the same module. That means you can't move the headligh...

Highly Detailed T2 body 3D computer model
Hi, Merry Christmas everyone. :D I have a highly detailed City Turbo II body 3D model in AutoCAD 2004 format, that can be used for like stick design, preview of paint resray, or even the body kit design if your CAD skill is good enough. I would like to see how to upload onto this website so it can b...

Re: Anyone tried the New Shell Optimax Extreme???
I have done the compare between the new Optimax Extreme and the old Optimax for 4 tanks (two for new one and two for old one). These 4 tanks are tested in daily driving in Sydney CBD area. New Optimax Extreme: Averagely 500km per tank Old Optimax: Averagely 470km per tank The new optimax extreme is ...

Re: Turbo timer
Just try to earth the Handbrake safety wire. I am not sure the FET one, but I sure this work with all Trust, Blitz, R-spec and HKS timers. Try to shift the timer into manual mode first, see if it is working. At manual mode the timer does not pick up rev data. If that's working, then shift to auto mo...

Anyone tried the New Shell Optimax Extreme???
Anyone try this new fuel on City? Today I put a tank of the the new Shell Optimax Extreme fuel into my T2. It is suprising that the engine runs much more smooth, and the idle becomes stable when compare to using the normal Optimax. I don't know is that related to the HKS computer which tuned in Japa...

Re: Need more Torque~
Not yet, a bit busy these days, and haven't get time to read through the vacuum hose diagram. That is a bit funny that on the intercooler pipe, other than the extra injector and the BOV, there are two more tee joints welded on th pipe, like for some vacuum hose. But I still have no idea what's that ...

Re: Spring Rates : John
I think using 5 or 6K at rear will be better, more balanced. Most weight and tractions are concentrated at the front, a bit stiffer at front comparing to rear would be better at those slow sharp corners. But if you are going to drag your car, then F6R9 will be good. That gives you more grip a launch...

Re: Spring Rates : John
A lot of choices. If you get a japanese brand coilover it usually comes with progressive springs. The cpring rate usually varied from 5 to 14K...I think 6 to 9K springs will enough for civic or city. You can try Tein as they do quite a reasonable price among those Jap brands, and you can put EDFC wi...

Re: Lowering Spings HELP
Try Bilstein. Although they don't really have the lowering springs for T2, but in my memory they did customize springs at selected spring rates on some skylines, so I think they may do spring for T2 as well. They are from Germany and they produce OEM suspensions for a lot of Japanese cars such as Su...

Re: Need more Torque~
I think you are right, Kartracer. the boost keep dropping when the car is warmed up and stuck in the traffic. I put the boost down back to 1 bar now to prevent blowing something. Later on when I am not such busy I will start looking at putting the intercooler back.

Re: Need more Torque~
I haven't check out the injectors yet, but now the fuel is running too rich at this moment, full of fuel smell from exhaust. It seems the fuel level has been adjusted in the Fcon. Checked the spark plugs and coil leads, they seems alright. I need one day the check out the fuel supply lines too.

EOI: Blitz DCII Turbo timer + Boost Gauge
Hi everyone, I just detached the Blitz DCII turbo timer + Boost Gauge from my skyline(a turbo timer base on boost level but not rpm). I bought it at the start of this year at AUD$320, I am selling my skyline now so I get this off. I don't need this on my T2, as the meters on the dash are too massy a...

Re: Lower Control Arm
May I ask... does the lower control arm (or tension rod) on a City same as compapitable with any other car such as the old Civic? If yes it may possible to find a adjustable pillow ball type rod, which helps the handling quite a lot.
