Re: Need more Torque~

I want to do it myself too, but I am living in apartment and only get a dark tiny car space, I can't do any big work on the car (even changing oil), otherwise the caretaker will come and stop me. I live in Hurstville, that is a bit far I think. Of course I would like to meet you sometime later and h...

Re: Need more Torque~

ya. the car now is still quite fast when the rpm goes over 5000 rpms... but too hard to drive like this for daily drive. I can see there is an external injector on the intercooler pipe now after I look through the box of spare parts. But I can't see any injector controller like trust Rebic such thin...

Re: Hello! I am in Hong Kong

Actually how many City can be found in Hong Kong now? I never see one actually on street, the only one I saw was a City cab selling at the old airport about 2 years ago.

Re: Some general Questions, for the smart ones

Ops I forgot to state one assumption, that is assuming the engine is warmed up already. it is not exact, but around zero degree. When air get cool the density of oxygen is higher so there will be more oxygen for combusion at the same volume of air intake compare to higher temperature. The other cons...

Re: Some general Questions, for the smart ones

HyperBlade, I think I get some different idea that why this happened. It doesn't related to the engine age, but simply because of temperature of the intake air. Here is some theories that coming from my lecture notes when I am studying in trucks haulage time, acceleration and speed estimation. In al...

Re: Need more Torque~

yup there is a HKS PFC F-CON, the old version black one.  I can't see therer is an additional injector, and the front mount intercooler has been taken off by him too. I still haven't got time to put the intercooler back yet, the pipes for the intercooler seems so complicated. At this moment I can su...

Re: Power Steering

She is the real big fans of City. I tried to find a good T2 in Sydney since the end of last year, originally I gave up to find T2 last month and get an AE86 instead, but she stopped me. Now she even force me selling my skyline and mod this T2...  :P by the way I think power steering is a good step f...

Re: Need more Torque~

ya the TD04  is possibly the reason. I can feel the torque is coming out after 4000rpm... and the boost just quickly to about 1.1 to 1.2 bar at about 5000rpm. I tried that the car doesn't overboost until 1.4 bar at 5500rpm (the boost controller is detached and haven't got a new one yet). The car goe...

Re: Need more Torque~

But when I put the Iridium plugs into my skyline, the changes are significant. the rev comes up a lot quicker, and the torque comes stronger.

Re: Need more Torque~

Thanks a lot bigelboe with plenty of ideas. Boost controller is up my mind too, I think I will get the HKS EVC and install it next time when I go to dyno and re-tune the car. I was told that the car gets a 2.5" dump pipe already, but I can't really feel the car boost up quicker... may be I stil...
