Hey all, My Turbo II has arrived here in Melbourne from NZ and will be clearing customs in a week or two. I will then have to take it to an engineer and have whatever needs to be done so that it meets Aussie standards (ADR's) before I can register it. My question is can anyone recommend me an engine...

Well thanks to everyone who responded, between this forum and one other I have a fair idea what to expect. The car leaves here Thursday week and I won't see it until 4-6 weeks after that. Importing it will be easy, registering it with VicRoads will be the hard bit. After paying GST and customs duty ...

I was just reading the roll call post with everyone listing what they have and where they are and BOOSTBOY I see you are in VIC... If you read this where did you get your T1 (ie did you import it or do you know who did) and do you know what, if anything, it needed to be registered there? Cheers.

Well looks like I'm going ahead with it so I'll post here after I arrive and let you know how it went. I am bringing mine in a container with the rest of my household stuff so it's not costing any extra but the cheapest quote to ship it by itself was $1900 so probably not worth it for most people.
