City Turbo II for sale

Postby davo » Thu Mar 16, 2006 8:31 pm

I have my t2 for sale. Its finally finished and on the road. Would put pictures on but cant work out how to. It has a garret t25 conversion with a custom 3" dump pipe and 3" mandrel bent system conected to a single chamber sports muffler. front mount cooler & a type 3 BOV.Boost guage (cause we all know how good a digital one is) 17" Advanti 7 spoke wheels with 2 new tyres (8/3/06) and 2 50%. Front guards were flared even more to fit the rims. Big sound system with 2 12" pioneer 1000w subs (2006) in a custom built box and a 1000w mono block amp (2006) pioneer DEH4050 head unit with 2 remotes and pioneer 260w 3 ways in front and 2 way pioneers for the rear. (rears not installed) new paint, mid Yellow with a red pearl. custom roof spoiler. If you want to see a pic get onto the NSW trading post or send me an email and ill send you some pics. Now for the price. $6500 with the stereo or $5500 without. I know its alot for what it is but ive spent over $10,000 on it all up and im not spending any more (not allowed to spend any more). Love the car but just isn't practical for me. I need something bigger to tow a boat cause it would look pretty funny. I am on the mid north coast of NSW (Port Macquarie) Please contact me if your interested or if you know anyone that might be. Ph (02) 65856047
Cheers Davo

Dude, you should so tow your boat with a City 8) That would be the funnyest thing ever. Esp if you could get a pic of you overtaking a Holden while going up a hill towing a boat

Whats it like with the t25 on there- pretty laggy? What boost are you running? Sounds like a beast!

It would look pretty funny all right. If i had the time and the money i would change the exhaust side turbine wheel so it would spool up a bit earlier. It starts at about 3 grand hits 9 pound at about 4. The only problem is that i adapted the original city wastegate accuator onto the t25. Sound like it would work ok but it has one slight flaw. The wastegate starts to open slightly at 9 pound on a standard city. Now the actual gate on a city turbo is about the size of a 5 cent piece, on a t25 the gate is about 20 cents so when the t25 gate opens alittle its like a city turbo opening alot. It needs a boost controler to combat this. Its a bit laggy but once it goes it goes good. There isn't alot of room beetween the turbo and firewall but it just fits snug. I had to get the standard manifold modified and got the exhaust port made bigger so the exhaust wouldn't be so restricted.

Really sorry to be a pain  but decided to do a bit more work on the car. just bought new momo steering wheel and new angel eye crystal headlights 8) . It is sitting in the shed at the moment getting the bottom end rebuilt and getting custom front splitter made up. Got a vt commodore to tow the boat so once again the city is practical. Will post pics when i get the lights and other stuff done. Sorry again.
