WHEELS WANTED : 14" IMPUL AERO'S ETC

Postby ANTHRAXXX » Mon Jan 19, 2015 12:50 pm

Hello,

I'm after a set of 4 or even just a pair of 14" Impul Aero-type wheels, 4 stud to fit the Turbo II if anyone knows anyone who has some for sale. Dosen't have to be the Impul, could be Volks, Hero's or SSR 84c's - Basically any of the 80's type Disc-type wheel. Here's a great link to the type of things I'm on about :

Was a set of Impul's on Yahoo Japan I was keen on, but the Importer has gotten carried away with his pricing >:(

hey mate,

just wanted to say it may be difficult to find these kind of wheels n 4x100 as they were primarily used on RWD cars.

maybe go for a 3 piece jap wheel and get 4x100 centres sandwiched in.

or if you do find a 4x114.3 wheel with a solid (flat) mounting face, you can always redrill to 4x100.

Hey St3lth thanks for that! This is the actual auction I was looking at : http://www.noppin.com/portal_ya_details ... h197110915

Size is 14 inches 6.5 offset (inset) is the 4 hole of PCD114.3 at +38. - abit of a wheel-spec noob, but assumed this size would fit a T2/T1

shit those are nice! they would fit perfectly, i think +38 would give great stance/flushness on FWD. (supposedly +35 is perfect for FWD)

i find it strange though the offset on them is quite high when they would have been intended for a RWD. (i'm assuming)

stud PCD is wrong though. can't see if they're redrillable. you could use "hubcentric wheel adapters", which would give you the right stud pattern but lowers the offset heaps. (wheel sticks out more.)

i have 13x6 hotwires in some kind of RWD offset and they still rub on the rear with rolled guards. (T2) i need much firmer springs to compensate.

Good to know. I've been eyeing off a set of this style of rim for ages now & keep missing out :p What's more annoying is the Importer I use had a set of 4 in white with tires for $895 + post, at the time I had just bought my racing harts & was broke...by the time I asked about them someone else had paid a deposit - then I saw these ones, and he was already bidding for stock - I was going to go through import monster & bid myself, but said if he got them cheap Id take em - Well he did - $240 Aus, but wants to charge me $850 + post! - no tires...and bent :p So yeah...not overally impressed tbh..

Anyways I'II get me a pair/set of these one day you watch me ;)

Another Idea I've thought of is to just by a set of the Disc's themselves & bolt them to whatever basic rim they can fit onto :
