heres some pics off the manifold and turbo,iv put it all standardturbo back on so dont need this anymore ,bit of surface rust from non high temp paint flaking off but nothing major.
t2 for sale
yea all fits nice and tight,if i were to keep it id do a few things to make it easyer to put in while engines in place, only major troubles were the fuel filter and line ,which i just put up against the firewall and high over the top with a heat shield and exhaust wrapped the downpipe and fuel line ,all worked out pretty well
it actually never ran properly after i rebuilt it with this turbo setup ,whether its the turbo and manifold or other things i could not find out, and a blown head gasket persueded me to just go back to standard for a reliable runabout and just have my rx7 for my fast car.i would maybe modify the collector bit before the turbo where each pipe meets if i decide to do something with it ,make it smoother.Other than that i cant see why it would be its fault ,i think more poor preperation of the engine and various vacume/electrical niggles were the cause of its running .if someones interested im not asking the earth for it ,it isnt finishd all neat and nice as it could have been ,it has its rough parts and is tricky to put in in the engine bay, needing certain bolts put on before others and edges flattend on manifold washers. But the basic form of it is good and wouldnt take much to get looking real good from the top, compressor housing polished ,down pipe welds smoothed /painted ect ,andi cant see why it wouldnt perform on a good engine.
