I guess this is the only way to fix the damn thing! >:(
Are the T1/T2 crank angle sensors interchangable? Anyone got any lying around with a good price tag on it?
Cheers,
Chhun.

Re: Needed: Crank angle sensor
We have a couple of cam TDC sensors, if that is what you mean? Goes on the end of the camshaft, tells the computer when the TDC has come round? No other TDC sensor I know. They are both readily at hand. If this is what you need, how much would you offer?

DR86, have figures for testing the old one if you want.

That'll be great mate! How to test? Give all details that you know.
Cheers.

DR86 To check crank angle sensor,(it's the thing on the end of the camshaft) disconnect the plug. This is a real bitch to get to, I finished up pulling the battery, fan shroud, and top radiator hose to make it easier. There are four pins in the connector, check the resistance between the two horizontal ones and then between the two vertical ones. This will be between the white & red, and between the brown and blue. Resistance should be between .650 K ohms and .850 K ohms on both. Resistance between each terminal and the sensor housing should be 100 K ohms or more. Hope all your news is good news. Henry
