T1 air-con removal

Postby sin-city_turbo » Tue Oct 03, 2006 1:01 pm

A few people have removed the air conditioning units from thier city's. im looking to do the same to make room for a cold air box and new pod fliter.

its it just a matter of unscrewing the blots to remove it or are there other aspects involved?

any help would be sweet as!

In Australia it's an offence to let the gas into the atmosphere, has to be removed by a refrigeration mechanic. There is a relay/valve/something that adjusts the idle when air-con is turned on, not sure what you do with that.

The solenoid valve is the bungus added on looking one floating around by the firewall somewhere, very easy to remove.

EDIT: Yes bungus is a technical term

so if you just take out the large hunk of metal, and remove the bungas ( ), it should be all sweet?

and if you remove the bungas, will the revs be return to usual?

cheers for your help guys!
