Are you sure it is spark?

If you know it's spark then its easy! There are only a few things in the chain, just test them one at a time. I think you mentioned somewhere that the coil has been checked. So next is the coil-dizzy lead (replace it if there is any doubt). Then the dizzy cap (inspect the points, replace if necessary). There is the dizzy itself, but for the moment just hope that is ok and try all the rest (unless you have a spare). Plug leads (if they look old replace them). And plugs (check for correct gaps, if old then replace).

After that try replacing the dizzy if there is still a problem, but i would say 90% of all your potential spark problems are listed there.

There is also the main relay (covered in the INFOBASE). It doesnt sound like that is at fault, but it doesnt take mych to check so you could do that too.

If it STILL doesnt work post here again and we can all have fun playing "Guess the fault" ;D

Have fun :P

Hmm

Maybe you want to start guessing now. ;) That way you can get it out of the way.
I would check the main Relay as Colza says, just so you know its not that.

Well guys I got it going!!

I tried my mums battery from the Subaru Leone and hey presto!! It seems that it needs an absolutly Fully charged battery to start.

But not all news is good... around 10 mins of idling, smoke / steam began to rise up from the engine I turned the car off and ran to investigate my radiator was absolutly SMOKIN'!  :o  It was tooo hot to even touch?? I mean wtf this was a near new radiator off a T1 at a junkyard it was only flushed a week ago and has new prestone antifreeze in it?

I mean whats up with that! last time I checked it was full of water and Antifreez!!

Im now to scared to turn it back on.... I think ill just wait until tommorow...l ???

I don't want to be mean here, but i think cars were meant to be driven around and not just to sit around and idle all day??? Maybe your thremo fan on your radiator is not working :o MATTY
