I will believe it when there are pics or time-slips. And if you do get an aftermarket ECU hooked up we want ALL the info :)

Hey guys letting u know i did end up getting the EMS on there . I got a extra 20kw at the wheels pulled 91kw atw with 15 pound. He took the 5th injector off he said its a piece of shit and made a new 57mm throttle body put cooler on and put fuel pumps and surge tank in the back. In at the moment getting the lot done forged pistons he board out inside of the intake making custom manifold for new GT30 turbo i seen it all ready its sweet massive should spool up at 3200rpm. Cam sent away for a grind will rev out to 7000 now and putting bigger injectors. He said when done eazely will make 130-150kw ATW but will be smashing gear boxes got a spare so that will be getting sent away soon to get LSD done and stronger internals on any way i will send u up a post soon of the dyno when i get it back i only have the one when it was making 55kw and a 61kw with a bit more boost if u want to see them let me know ill post them thanks guys was just giving u a update oh yeah motor is costing bout $8000 so its not a cheap thing to do

Either you or your mechanic or both, need to do a wee bit more research i feel.

Either that or you are going to need to order another big box of hopes and dreams to make that turbo run on that motor.

Dude sorry but that turbo is gonna SURGE like nothing else. I dont know why you are going with such a large turbo, there is just NO way a city motor can inhale air at a fast enough rate to make that turbo work well. If you get it to run good with that turbo (which you probly wont) it would have run HEAPS better with a gt25 or something thats actually an appropriate size for it.

having big inlets and exhausts doesnt change the fact the exhaust valve isnt much bigger than a 5cent piece and there is only one per cylinder

Just did a few quick calculations.

Your options for running that turbo are:

a) run at 20psi and spin the motor to 11000rpm

b) bore the block out to 2.0l

c) run 44 pounds of boost

And that is pretending that you wont hit a brick wall at the flow limits of your valves, intake manifold, throttle body, etc etc

Im not sure how much smaller a T28 compressor side is, but i get the distinct feeling that you need more help than that. These turbos are too big for this motor.

Hey if it does work then good luck getting traction when boost hits at 5500 rpm.

Good luck with your project.

I ment T2 turbo in the above post.

You cant compare angus' Eb3 and your T2 motor, they are completely different beasts. The valves in his motor are nearly twice the size of the ones in yours, he also has a completely different bore/stroke ratio. His engine is extremely rev happy and thats why it can swallow the air of a big compressor. No matter what you do the city engine is never going to want to rev like an EB3. But hey we can talk numbers and theory till we go blue but if you can produce the numbers than kudos to you.
