imports

Postby simo » Mon Sep 27, 2004 10:18 am

g'day all.

first time poster.

Ive just read the article about Honda City Turbos on autospeed and was most impressed (didnt even know that they existed).

the article mentioned that their test car came from yahoo motorsport in adelaide (this is convenient since im in adelaide).  my question is: has anyone had any dealings with this company?  is it a good place to source an imported Honda City or other similar 15 year + import?

thanks for your time folks

Simon

i dont think anyone has imported one, its really not worth it.  it will probly cost you atleast $4-5k due to shipping and import duties.

Try Yahoomotorsport here in Adelaide , he imports to order , prices vary to condition and requirements.
Don't forget that import vehicles need to be complianced which can be expensive depending on what needs to be done ,
ie rear seats , side intrusion bars in doors etc .
Have a word with your local rego office to find out what is needed

Dude did you read his original post?! He is asking if Yahoo Motorsport is a trustworthy company!!!

But yes it is probably easier to find one in Aus than to import one.

My brother bought a suzuki alto RS-R from them and had it shipped to Newcastle.  Got a good price and good service. He would recommend them.

Oh Dah ...thanks Colza . Was late at night yadayada...

Henry and I met the bloke here in Adelaide . Seems ok and knows his stuff and I guess as with all second hand car dealers -buyer beware .Depends on what you want and in what condition . Best thing is to talk with the bloke personally and get a second opinion . Noticed in the local Tradingpost  today he is not the only one bringing in 15 yo cars-shop around .
