If you were going to do a major modification like that, the reasons for using a City Turbo engine become less and less.

An EL 1600 would be a far better choice:
more displacement
stronger block for high boost
non-cvcc
city turbo manifolds can be made to fit

So you end up with a 1600 non-cvcc Turbo motor running off your choice of aftermarket ecu.

MUCH simpler and MUCH more sensible.

Would you use the whole engine?
Has this conversion been done before and what about clearance?

Hey guys, if you're going to ditch the factory computer and CVCC, you'll be down the road I'm going. It would be nice to have some company too by the way ;D
All these factors prompted me to use a machined City "E" non CVCC head, bigger throttle body, custom plenum, bigger injectors, bigger turbo and Microtech LTX8 ECU.
Should add up to aorund 200HP at 14-16psi, but until I get to spend a bit more time on it, it's all just good theory. It will be running one day, hopefully before April this year. Then evryone's gonna hear about it!  ;)

Ok heres my situation.. My other car has an f'd front end. I can either:
Fix the City and drive it till the other ones fixed
Fix the Calais and sell the City
Sell both cars and buy another car/bike

So yeah.. Im opting for option 3 atm.

Heres some recent pics of my City
http://members.cardomain.com/keepin_it_real
So that you all can see her condition..

I reconnected the TW sensor wire thing, still shows it on computer. Battery is flat as a tack atm and when we tried to jump start it the dash etc would get power. There would be spark and fuel (error code still there) but when I tried to turn it over it wouldnt. It would just make the "aa - aa - aa" noise as if I had a flat batt..  ???

Im not the most mechanically minded but does anyone have any ideas that I could try?

Also, I know this sounds dumb but I want to try and sell her.. pretty much as soon as possible.
Be a great car to fix up or an awesome parts car.. selling cheap as its motionless atm and everyone knows it has a few problems.

So yeah, if anyones interested please let me know. Details are in the for sale section..

This is painful.

Although if you split it up for parts, you never know i might buy the manifold, turbo, oil lines etc.

Just a thought.

Mmm I did want to fix it again properly but to be honest, I dont know and nobody up here knows, whats wrong with it. Its pretty hard for anyone on here to diagnose the problem when theyre 3000k's away.

If you're willing to take it off my hands Id be happy to let it go. I havent driven it in ages, I drive my V8 Cal everyday anyway and Id liek to put some money into that.

Have a think and lemme know if you want to.

Oh yeah, I really dont want to part it out either..
