i have two apexi electronic products, the rsm and safc2. i have installed the rsm but only the rpm unit work.(speed unit doesn't work). in fact that the speed unit wire have never been connected to the ecu cause old type car's speed unit is connect the gearbox to the gauge by using chain. now, the problem is, i am going to connect the safc2 with my t2, do you think the safc2 will work under no speed unit connection? can i still use it as control the air flow ratio? ............ i have done some researchs, blitzpower or doggstyle may know about it....please help

I wasn't under the impression the ECU had anything to do with speed. At all. The cable goes to the speedo, which displays it, I thought that was end of story. Ill have a look at the wiring diagram and see if i can see any different.

There is no cable going from the speedo to the ECU. The only cable that goes from the speedo to anything is one that goes to the boostguage and then goes to the idle up unit. I assume this is to turn the idle up valve off when the car is moving.

There is no cable that you can use with you Apexi thingie. The speed gest converted from the mechanical cable straight to the guage. The wire I mentioned above will probably be either on or off, not what you are looking for.

I think if you want a speed signal you will have to make your own. You could set up a sensor and a magnet on the speedo cable, so the magnet goes past the sensor once each time it goes around, that would work.
