Thats nice work, mine is still bigger tho :P, a 2.5" elbow fits really neatly onto the bottom of that intake thingie, Was a bastard to weld tho cause I had ported out the inside so much that one of the sides was very thin.

But yeah, that should flow a heap more.

Ill take some better ones when it stops raining, I did have some comparing it to the factory one but Im not sure where they went. I ended up using quite thick wall pipe just cause it was all i had lying around at work, but to get the 90 tight enough to fit under my bonnet i had to modify it heavily taking out a lot of material to reduce the radius of the bend to pretty much zero on the inside of the bend. I also cut the old plenum right down to the top of the sensor mounting, and the blue pipe still holds my bloody bonnet up. My car might be getting a WRX scoop or something so everything fits better.

That blanked off panel is for my extra injector setup, which if i bolt it on try's to go about 40mm up into my bonnet :-/. Hence my extra injector project on hold.

I would have thought you would want the extra injector further away from the throttle body personally, if its not fully mixed in by the time it gets to the cylinders then you will find yourself leaning out a cylinder or 2.

That hard 90 deg bend just after the throttle might make enough turbulence to sort things out, but i wouldnt want to count on it...

You know that is a simple enough piece that I'd be considering making a good wood pattern exactly the way you want it to be, clearance and all etc., then take it to a foundry and have them cast one up in Aluminum. It wouldn't take much machining to finish it for use, and if it turns out to give a valuable yield then you could make up more of them for any who'd want one.

Who are you talking to? Me or turbocab. There would be a bit of machining, sensor has to have a flat face, two vacuum lines have to be added, and the bottom has to have a groove for an o-ring.

It took me about 5 hours to make mine, cause first I had to make the bend, then weld it on, then clean up the inside with a die-grinder.

At first I tried it with thinwall tube, like 1.5mm but the welds all blew through and I had to repair it heaps so i changed to a thickwall bend (~5mm) was a walk in the park with the thickwall stuff.

The rest of my piping however is made from 1.5mm wall alu piping, ill weight it when I have done it all ;D

Oh, I've never seen one in person. The groove for the O ring would make it unfeasable from a cost standpoint. I guess I SHOULD have realized there was an O ring, every thing else Honda does has one ::)

Yeah it is, I posted that while I was pissed, musta got a bit confused.

Might be able to have some casted up, dunno. Which direction you want the inlet to face depends on your applcation tho. Mine goes passenger so I can hook up my cooler but if you were using stock cooler or stock placement then thats not very handy.

with mine tho you just attach a rubber or silicone 90deg elbow and face whatever way you want
i recon casting them would be a waste of money, mine cost $12 for the six pack i bought for the bloke, wich i ended up drinking half of any way.and if he had charged me it would have been $25
having one cast and then machiened would be at least $250 i recon
