lowering

hey i want to lower my T2 but whats the best and cheapest way to lower the suker.

Q2: can i install an analog speedo into my T1?

Q3: the turbo don't seem to kick in at all. How can I check it and rectify this?

Q4: what is the minimum width that a rotor can be skimmed to? Currently the width of the rotors are 12.4mm and 13mm.

I want to do the same thing and cut is not a option. the only way to do it is get you orginal springs sent to a coil/spring maker and get them to make up some lowering springs. I have found that no one has a off the shelf spring.

I have been quote $350 for the front pair to be custom made because the haven't been made before, that was a spring maker in Christchurch, turn around time was about 3-4 days.

I would but at the moment don't have the money, being spend on rust repairs for WOF :( :(

Gay, as you can see from my signatures Im not exactly friendly with rust at the moment either, at least I have a mate that will fix it for free.

Hi there i hav lowerd my t2 i jst got the springs compresd its not to expensive depends where you go it cost 350 nz $ for me for all 4 springs

How far did you get them compressed and are the still held captive when the suspension is raised?

did u mean u got ur standard springs compressed?  may i just ask how low did u compressed them to? and how is the ride handling so far? thinking of doing the same.

yea i got my standard springs compresed its quite low my16 inch rims are in the gard in the rear and the front its about half an inch from the gard its all captive and legal bt only problem is it scrapes in the rear wen i hav more than 2 people in it bt yea i thnk thats the best way to go

getting the standard springs is the cheapest but yeah you get scrapes...

if you get new ones made it will be twice the price but you can get real hard ones... no scrapes and hell cornering

I found the section in the manual but unfortunately I cant read the japanese.

I think its either 15, 13 or 10mm, my guess would be 10 because thats the smallest, anyway heres the picture in case anyone wants to translate

You sure its not stamped on the disc, ive seen a few honda ones with the min thickness stamped on them
