Hey all,
I was just wondering, is it possible to use parts from a city turbo to change a 1st gen's 4x120 to 4x100??
Thanks.

Re: civic 4x100 conversion question
Sorry 76civic you wont be able to fit those 114.3 mags on your 1g, 1st gen civics all have a 4*120 PCD this rules out pretty much all decent newish mags and brakes, although you can use stuff from 1st gen accords thats about it. There were a few mags made for them biggest was about 13 or 14". Another company will still make 4*120 mags and a few people on http://www.1stgencivic.com have these in 15", they are quite nice but much more expensive than a 4*100 swap and some 4*100 mags.
Yes you can bolt city turbo hubs stright on and they dont have the camber problems associated with second gen hubs onto 1st gens. The city lower arm uses a differe method of affixing and it is slightly longer, this ends up giving you a nice bit of negative camber. Cant remember what you have to do with the leading arm/sway bar thing ill find out for you.
What are you planning on doing for the rear? Redrilling the drums?
One bonus with city turbo hubs is that you can bolt on two pot callipers from the 2.0Si accord from the late 80's early 90's, this gives you outstanding front braking.

Oh ok sweet so the hubs will bolt on with no troubles.. Yeah im not too sure about the rear.. is it hard to redrill? can u DIY? And is it much camber?
Re: civic 4x100 conversion question
What Bigelboe forgot to mention there, is that it is currently under investigation and it hasnt been fully finished and i cant guarantee that it works. Yet.
What he has said is correct, but as it hasnt been welded up and road tested I'm not sure if it should be considered 'successful' just yet.
It has the potential to be a very good 4x100 plus disk brake conversion, I will let you know how it goes.
Rear i have not looked into yet. I would not advise redrilling, i know it has been done and it seems to work, but personally i think the rest of the drum looks too thin for that.
