Hey everyone,
I just recently decided to see how far my T1 would travel on a tank of fuel.
I was very surprised to see it could go 654km on 40 Litres of fuel. Thats 6.1 Litres per 100km. Not bad I thought.
Has anyone had simular results with there fuel mileage.
Just note this was all city driving and not hitting turbo though I was going anywhere from 60km-80km where travelling. However I started to get annoyed at 621km and started driving at a speed of 110km, as I had enough of it not running out of fuel.
Kind Regards
Nicholas
RE: Fuel Mileage
Hey,
650K's off a tank! thats sweet,
I have a 86 non turbo city and i only get about 450 k's (off about $40 of premium @ $1.34ltr, my tank must be a little smaller) Plus most of my driving is on the highway at about 80-90kph (im a P plater) and the occasional blockie on my way home. Should i be getting better fuel efficiency than this? what can i do to improve it?

Where the hell do you live to get fuel at $1.34
Here in nz it costs me $1.61 just for 95
And the best way to improve is to go easy on the lead foot, also make sure your tryes have the correct air, low pressure means more traction but also more friction which is lost energy. keep your windows closed at all times to reduce drag.
Im sure theres more that they have been telling us to do over here, just forgotton it all
