Vacuum advance for T1

Postby davidj » Wed May 24, 2006 4:52 pm

Hi All,

I’ve got a City Turbo 1 with a leaking vacuum advance. I noticed in the knowledge base there are a couple companies that recondition them. From other post it looks like new ones are not available from Honda?

Has anyone had one done recently?

How do you get inside the vacuum advance canister?

I am thinking of either getting it fixed or replacing it with some type of programmable ignition control. The city manual appears to have the timing curves printed.

Did exactly the same thing last september. It cost me $93 including return postage to Port macquarie (nsw). it costs that much because it is a double diaphram (one for vac advance and one for boost retard).

They were very good and had it back really fast.
