Rings are probably toasted, do a compression test, if its low squirt a bit of oil in the cylinder and do again, if it goes up higher then its rings.

They seem to have a common problem of gumming up the oil rings while the compression rings still seal, compresion test may not tell you the full story but is a good place to start

AH yeah, so the oil rings gunges in a bit and lets too much oil past?

When I pulled my pistons out the compression rings expanded but the oil ring stayed about piston size, I think Boostboy had a similar thing with his.

could also be the turbo seal.

Sure did. I bet it still goes ok right? That's because its still got compression. The only time i lost compression was when i droped a nut into the inlet manifold.
