Civic project

Postby chupa » Wed Nov 08, 2006 4:58 pm

Hi all,

My gf is the proud owner of a (badly damaged) 77 civic wagon. We've done a bit of looking around for replacements for the 2 drivers side doors (with little success), but i'm also wanting to get an idea of spare parts in general for this beast. I've already tried a dozen wreckers in brisbane, but nobody seems to have any bits and pieces for it.

What would be my chances of getting this project off the ground? And, is there a better forum to ask about civics?

If civic wagons were anything as rare in aus as they are here then your gonna have troubles finding bits. The doors might be ok, they are probably the same as the 4 door 1st gens.

http://www.1stgencivic.com has quite a few aussie members that might be able to help you out. The forums are where most of the info is at.

Sucks to have a wagon then :P

I have only seen ONE and ONE only in this entire country in my time living here, bet they have hell getting parts.

In saying that they are really cool cars, has anyone seens justin's show quality one from the 1stgencivic board? Candy red paint, NSX front brakes, NOSed SOHC vtec, massive sound system in the back. Very tidy 1st gen.

Good luck to your missus finding a donor car or something chupa! Be good to keep another one of those old beasts on the road.

Doesn't sound too promising! Will keep looking around.

Thanks for your help
