In short it was the smallest bb turbo I could find to replace the old tech turbos.

Fair enough, used turbos are pretty cheap to play with. In the Legacy, as far as I am aware, the twin turbos are sequential, so 2.0L powers one, then the other. You can buy small IHI and Garret BB turbos new (GT2554R) but they will be $1k+.

Would be cool if you could use the VF20 core and attach a suitable compressor.

New shoes. Rays Volk CE28N in 15x6 et 35 with Bridgestone Potenza RE003 in 195/50. They only weigh 4.3kg each wheel! A fraction narrower than I would like but they were a good price. Perfect offset and size they can go lock to lock at that height without touching anything. I've still got my 17"s which I may get tyres for and throw on at some stage also. Not sure if it will look silly with huge wheels tho.

You can see the door hanging up and the hatch behind the car that are ready for priming as soon as it stops raining! When it's raining the air is too humid and you end up blowing water out the spray gun.

I've been degreasing and soda blasting all the engine parts to go back together sparkly clean. I've just ordered a 25kg bag of Soda so I'll get some before/after pics next week. It works amazingly, even on plastic like the cam belt cover and plug housings.

Hey mate I am thinking of putting the same engine into mu 1978 civic. Did you have to make up new engine mounts ect or does it pretty much bolt up.
Thanks.
Also nice build can't wait to see it finished

It pretty much bolts up, you just have to modify the rear engine mount bracket and fabricate a shorter dog bone torque rod.
