our T2 wont start!?
Hi Everybody,
Got a little problem with our T2. Its turning over but wont start. It stopped suddenly while driving along a few weeks back. What do you guys suggest looking at/replacing? There doesn't seem to be any error codes on the computer.
Thanks for your help,
Brendan

heh yeah I remember that one
Cam belt is okay.
So should I go the electronic unit in the dizy or a new ignitor? I dont have any spares unfortunately. Campbell in this post:
http://cityturbo.com/forums/viewtopic.p ... ht=ignitor
says "ignitor control unit in the distributor should be: 30120-PH4-005"
Where can I get one of these? or is there a way to test if either is working? How do I know if I'm getting any spark to eliminate the fuel pump?

Electronic unit in the dizzy and the ignitor are one and the same.
According to my EPC the parts number should be 30120-PA0-661 and its the same part number for all E series cities as far as I can tell. That number that cambell gives may well be for the same part, there are a lot of equivalents for some Honda parts.
Ripco or appco or someone may be able to help you out, if not you may have to go genuine.
To check spark, pull a plug and stick the cable back on, with some insulated handle pliers hold the metal hex bit of the plug against some metal part of the engine, like the earth wire on the cam cover. Get someone to crank it over for like half a second and you should see something. You may see a very weak spark even if the ignitor is stuffed.
I went down to supercheap yesterday, they said for the Bosch "BIM902" for the carby city would be around $129 - its listed here:

I'm guessing this isn't the same for ours? Even then its a bit expensive when I'm not positive its the problem. Has anyone got a spare they want to sell me?
Honda might be able to sell me one but this could get exy!
