Since I drive my work truck most of the time, it won't be on the road that often.
I'll have a word with the appropriate people, I think their intention was just to pretend that I'm always racing, which might be true.

Have you tried using dry ice to take it off? 8)

Bit late for the dry ice I'm afraid, looks like a good trick though.

On a very positive note I have my car back!

Here it is with the new seats sitting in place

All structural rust repairs have been done, I'll tidy up all the little remaining bits.

Rather than put bracing between the front strut towers the cage has been extended to the back of the tower, and round the tower stitched to increase rigidity.

So now I've got to do all the prep work, prime it, then send it off for painting. Good times.

Bro, that all looks freaking sweet 8)

Also I believe you need to have the cage inspected unpainted? So might wanna get onto that soon.

The homologation papers have lots of photos of the joins and stuff. Becasue it was made by a qualified person it doesn't need to be inspected, the photos are sufficient.
But yes, I'm not able to paint it until it's homologated.

I have an almost identical rusty dribble down the sides of my A-Pillars too :(

Paint the arse fixing the rust in those corners.

Cage looks sweet!

I wanted to make some humorous comment about painted asses and include a picture of one, but it's actually impossible to find a tasteful image if you search for "Painted ass".

Yeah those corners are super sucky to work on.

i prescribe a combination of 9in grinder and recipro saw then a whole lot of welded patches for this particular city ailment,worked for me.

It's been a year and a half since my last update, and while progress has been excruciatingly slow, it has never the less continued. I finally became sick of bodywork, and so now I have this:

I had a look at the D16 thats the V tec one? What about the weight?Is ther much difference? The xtra HP? would the chassis have to be stressed for that?
