alternative turbo

Postby valkyrie » Sun Dec 13, 2009 6:43 pm

Hi everyone I am new to here and I am glade to see there is website for cityturbo.
I am a city driver until I upgrade myself to a city turbo driver  . However, the factory turbo seems to be leak and I am thinking expect rebuild it or seek for a 2nd hand one, what other turbo will bolt on with minimum modification. Cheers

A few have fitted RHF5 from a holden rodeo with minimal mods...check it out in the infobase.

I have an RHF5 turbo for sale if you want...almost brand new.

Has anyone actually used these eBay rebuild kits?
I'm tempted to give it a go as I also have the same problem as valkyrie

One of my motors i brought had a CT12 (toyota 1 / 2J twin turbo model) mounted to it looks like it required some light modifications to get it on there.

yeah I thought about a toyota turbo... but wasnt sure if this would be a upgrade or a down grade in terms of size ??
a benefit would be that they are easier to find though
