Fuel injector mounting angle?

Postby ClassicProT » Wed Jan 06, 2010 6:12 pm

Hey all!

Just wondering, can anyone tell me roughly what angle the injectors are mounted into the inlet manifold on a T1/T2?

The reason why I ask is because I will be using my stock carby manifold and converting it to an FI setup...are the injector mountings a critical design criterion? I know from research that they should be mounted at a small angle directed at the valves, but with my setup, I won't be able to get that low (due to interference with the plenum).

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

Well, if anything...the injectors should be mounted no more then around 45 degrees to the air stream which means my plenum design goes to waste.

Would I be able to get away with maybe using a T1/T2 inlet manifold (for the injector mounts) on the NA head?

Thanks.

It should fit on the NA engine, is it CVCC or not? cause im not sure if there is fitment issues between them.

Thanks for that DDmitry.

Judging from the pictures, it looks like the stud holes on the far lower left and upper right hand corner don’t match up. Bummer...I’ll just fab up a crude inlet manifold for now just to get things rolling.
Thanks again for the pics.
