I'd be keen also but typically my car has shat itself drove it around the bloke & it spat out a big cloud of smoke..did another oil change and pulled out another frag. of metal..probably blown a cylinder or something.

I reckon I've blown a ring metal bits look kinda ring-ish...car puffs out smoke when u rev it high etc..and it's always had that erratic pulsing-idle thing going on...she's going into the mechanic's on Friday..

i have that problem sometimes.

also some blue smoke when i start the engine in cold. but stop after like 5 sec.

dont know whats wrong with the car.

this engine is kind of weak.....

where can we rebuild it?

If you haven't done so already, you should get a compression test done on the engine. This way you can see if the engine is somewhat running in optimum conditions with no leaks.


If the compression is fine, then you might want to look into the turbocharger. The seals/shaft might be leaking oil.

I’m taking mine to Ultra Tune here in Joondalup, as it’s close to work & guy there sounds keen to check it out unlike afew other places around here I’ve been to before. See how it goes. Mines had the pulsing idle since I got it running & from what I’ve read about blown engine rings etc. it can be related to that so am keen to see what they can findout.

Most likely the valve stem seals from what you describe, when the engine is sitting they leak oil into the the ports that you burn when it starts up. Unfortunately they are a bit of a pain to change because you have to pull every valve spring, Id probably just put up with it personally.

the radiator hose crack last night, all the fluid came out, it was running hot, then it starts revving high, at the end i got home, i changed the hose today, see how it goes.

Soo next Saturday..Actually Ikea on a saturday is a nightmare, half of Perth goes there to eat the meatballs ( god knows why ) and buy shiny new Kloogs or Durts to take home & assemble...How about the park near the Stirling train station on Cedric st? It's a nice area, nice park, good place for pics. etc.. ?
