Fuel Filter part No. for TI

Postby spangleking » Mon Nov 29, 2010 11:52 am

Hi having probs with my TI on hills and cruising in town in top gears.

starts missing and on hills on a longhaul it almost cuts out. Comes back to life when I knock it down to 3rd and keep revs down.

I thought it was the pump near the back wheel? I have had city E's do it on the hills and cut out. Pump gets blocked cannot even blow through them.
However mechanic reckons it may be the filter.. steel thing under the air filter on front side of motor over from the injectors intake.

They cannot seem to get Honda part No from southern Honda in Dunedin.

I figured this is because turbos are jap imports?

has anyopne got a part number and location for one of these?

WOULD A CIVIC ONE DO?

I look forward to your replies with eager anticip...patioooonnnn!!!!!

Hi Caleb,

Thankyou for that information:

Is that BOSCH or BOSH?

They got one that seems to have cleared up the problem although it started stuttering a bit again today.

I can try to compare the TI jap filter with the TII I have. Its all jap caligraphy but a few numbers. The one they took off rattled when you shake it.. I don't think they are suposed to have loose parts are they?

It seems to be revving higher at idle now. almost 1500 - 2000rpm Hope that does not mean I will use more gas?

it should be fine to use if the inlet and outlet are the same and roughly in the same spot.matt

TI replacement Filter

Postby spangleking » Fri Dec 10, 2010 4:18 pm

The Honda Fuel Filter that came off my 81 TI has HE 7 in large font on it and the rest is Japanese with the exception of size "10m/m".

The replacement fitted and working ok so far is made in Korea and marketed as a Fuelmiser from Motospecs in Asquith, NSW, Australia.
Part No. " FI- 0117 suits Honda" and " Replaces Z360".

So I may be proved wrong but this may be a satisfactory relacement for a TI and TII fuel filter. Seems a fairly general designation however saying it 'suits Honda'?
