CityTurbo.com 10 Year Anniversary!

Postby Brendan » Wed Mar 21, 2012 9:14 am

Hi Guys,

Just noticed that on the 18th of March CityTurbo.com had its 10 Year Anniversary! If you're feeling nostalgic you can see the original version of the site on the way back machine website:

http://web.archive.org/web/200204061058 ... turbo.com/

The forum launched on the 27th of March 2002 and eventually the whole site migrated into it. There are a few people worth mentioning that have kept this site running over the years:

BOOSTBOY was a co-founder of the original site and wrote many articles and forum posts that are still relevant today. He still visits here every now and again despite moving on from a City Turbo many years ago (I think he drives a Supra these days?)

Our hard working moderators who pretty much run the site:
Henry - joined 20th April 2002
James - joined 9th April 2003
HyperBlade - joined 20th February 2004

PGNUTA hosted the site for us at one stage and was a huge help.

Fader and mozzy have been involved in forum upgrades over the years and Fader hosts the site for us these days. They setup add-ons like the Garage and the 1/4 Mile Table.

Kazzee provided the workshop manuals back in 2005. It took us three years to get a copy of them!

Some of the other early guys that have contributed a lot over the years include Colza, turbocab, QikLude, doggystyle, city_cabriolet and Smithy

And a special mention to everyone who has contributed to the InfoBase over the years. They took the time and effort to put together information which is pure gold to anyone working on a Honda City:
JohnT
BOOSTBOY
Smithy
Colza
James
HyperBlade
mangusta
Henry
turbocab
Muppet
turbo2_83
Tony
AnimaLector
si

Let me know if I've forgotten anyone!

Congrats to everyone who has been a part of building a great community and saving (and potentially causing!) much heart ache with our Honda City's over the years.

Cheers,
Brendan

Wow!

Time does indeed fly. I wish I still had my T1 - still think about it from time to time and keep an eye out for it in the hope of finding it for sale again. Last time I heard of it it was in QLD somewhere.

Now driving a G6E turbo with about 500hp - quite a change from the good old days!
